OBITUARY
It is with great sadness that we learn of the sudden passing of Haralabos Boikos at the age of 54.
Mr. Boikos was born in Salonika, Greece before immigrating to Canada. He served as a dedicated teacher and principal for many years at the Saturday Greek School of the Greek Orthodox Community of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville Borough. The Saturday Greek School serves more than 200 students enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, elementary school classes ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 6 and high school classes ranging from Grade 7 to Grade 12. The School Program includes instruction in the Orthodox faith and traditions and Greek culture and folkloric dances.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Effie Drakopoulos Boikos and their two daughters Constantina and Fotini.
Funeral service at Saint-George Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Monday, July 28, 2014. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
