More than 16 years have passed since Greek-Canadian lawyer Demetrios Smirnios proposed to then president of the Community John Theodosopoulos and then chairman of the by-laws committee Nicholas Pagonis a written amendment to the by-laws of HCGM for more “transparency” and greater “access to information” …

Unfortunately, the written amendment was never adopted … and the members of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal do NOT yet have access to the minutes of annual and special meetings, do NOT yet have access to a list of members, and do NOT yet have access to a copy of commercial contracts to which the Hellenic Community is a party …
