Hellenic Scholarships Foundation

The Hellenic Scholarships Foundation held its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Hellenic Community Centre on Wilderton Avenue where members received financial statements for the 12-month period ended June 30, 2018.  The Foundation celebrated its 30th anniversary this past year.

The 29th Annual Awards Ceremony was held earlier in the year at the McGill Faculty Club in downtown Montreal on Friday, February 2, 2018.  Eleven scholarships were awarded to students excelling in their university studies.

A special tribute was also made to honour three past members of the Academic Committee, namely, professors Lea Prevel Katsanis and Konstantinos Fytas as well as professor emeritus Michael P. Paidoussis.  A congratulatory message from Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, was presented to them.
