Constantin “Costa” Assimakis
1931 – 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Constantin “Costa” Assimakis on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the age of 83. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Ekaterini, his children John and Anna, his sister Helen Moraitis, as well as other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Manoir Pierrefonds for the care and compassion provided to Mr. Constantin during his stay.
Mr. Assimakis immigrated from Methoni, Greece to Canada and had been a succesful entrepreneur and owner of A & D Landscaping for 50 years.
He was a founder and past president of the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Community in the Montreal West Island suburb of Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boulevard des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Québec, 514-685-3344 on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Brunswick Boulevard in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Québec on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. followed by the Burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church of Saints Constantine and Helen.
